Born in Santa Cruz California, Lanny Markasky moved to Los Angeles in 2017 to pursue an education in the arts. Studying illustration at Cal State University Long Beach and greatly influenced by the golden age illustrators, he moved towards a focus in narrative, figurative painting, and art as a means of visual storytelling. Upon graduation Lanny relocated to New York and after the exploration of many different types of work as a freelance artist, including editorial, movie and game posters, and book illustration to name a few, he found his place in the advertising and entertainment industry. Lanny has been represented by Famous Frames since 2016, creating a variety of work ranging from storyboards to finished illustrations. Aside from working as an artist, he continues to expand his knowledge by studying at various art schools, and teaches at institutions such as CG Master Academy.
